ENGINEERING GROWTH: 17 YEARS OF LASER 24

2008

Laser 24 was born! We started our adventure in a cosy 3,500 sq ft factory, equipped with our first laser, a 1.8kW Bysprint CO2.

2009

To keep up with our growing ambitions, we welcomed our second laser, a powerful 3kW Bysprint CO2, and
expanded our team with our first recruits.

2012

As our dreams grew bigger, so did our space! We moved into a spacious 12,500 sq ft factory and introduced our first 3kW fiber laser. We also embraced full automation with a ByTrans extended system.

2014

A milestone year! Laser 24 achieved CE marking to Execution Class 4, the highest level, allowing us to serve diverse sectors with full traceability on our products.

2016

We invested in Plant Manager to streamline production workflows and speed up our quoting process, ensuring efficiency and precision.

2018

Doubling our capacity, we acquired a 10kW Bystar fiber laser and an 80-tonne press brake, capable of folding parts up to 1.5m long.

2019

A fresh new look! Laser 24 was re-branded, and we launched our sleek new website. We also gained ISO9001:2015 accreditation and invested in a 12kW fiber laser, enabling us to cut materials up to 30mm thick.

2020

Collaboration with the University of Essex as a Knowledge Transfer Partner gave us access to academic expertise, helping us streamline processes and improve efficiencies. During the pandemic, we proudly produced parts for ventilators and protective screens.

2021

Partnering with Kurago and Bystronic, we developed and trialled the Bysoft Business software, enhancing our workflow between sales and production.

2025

A monumental year! We relocated to our new 30,000 sq ft facility in Southend, equipped with two 15kW Bystronic fiber laser machines with mixed gas cutting capabilities and material storage towers. We also invested in a 320t 4.3m long press brake and introduced a bending robot to compliment our 80t press brake. Our state-of-the-art premises and equipment will allow Laser 24 to double its turnover while maintaining our core values of a 3-5 day turnaround, exceptional customer service, and quality.
