During the pandemic we invested in the latest laser cutting machinery, supported our country in the fight to combat Covid-19 and raised vital funds for charities that are very close to our hearts. Here, we look back at 2020.
Supporting The Nation Through COVID-19
We were eager to do our bit to help the fight against COVID-19. Laser 24 supported the invaluable efforts of key workers across the country. Laser 24 created ‘Corona Claws’ for keyworkers, ventilator parts for Vauxhall and vital parts for the NHS and supermarkets.
Bystronic ByStar Fiber 12kW joined the LASER 24 team
Laser 24 become the proud owners of the ByStar Fiber 12kW, thanks to our ongoing investment project to deliver unrivalled production capabilities to our valued customers. Boosted by 12 kilowatts of laser power, each cut is faster, cleaner and more cost-effective than ever before, with cutting speeds of up 20% faster than its 10kW predecessor.
Ellesco Timesavers 22-900-W also joined the LASER 24 team!

Spooktacular Charity Event For Williams Syndrome
On Friday 30th October, Laser 24 were in Spooktacular, socially distanced spirits, raising awareness and funds for the Williams Syndrome Foundation, an amazing charity that supports people with WS and those who love, care for and educate them. With a huge help from our suppliers, customers and Laser 24 employees, to date we have raised a total of £2,250.
LASER 24 Joined Forces with University of Essex for Management KTP
The University of Essex launched their first Management Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Laser 24. This collaboration is Essex’s first Management KTP and saw experts from Essex Business School support Laser 24 to develop better management practices.
Business Awards 2020 Finalists
Our outstanding services meant we were nominated in not one, but two categories at the 2020 Believe in Basildon Business Awards! These included the Digital, Innovation and Technology Award and the Good Employer Award. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the award ceremony could not go ahead this year but watch this space for the 2021 nominations!
Supporting Families in Need with Kid’s Inspire
On Friday 18th December, we will be wearing our Christmas jumpers to raise money for Kid’s Inspire, a children’s charity that supports those recovering from traumatic experiences or dealing with emerging mental health difficulties.
