2020 was a year like no other. Here at Laser 24, we made significant investments in our technology to ensure that we can provide an accurate, consistent and efficient high-volume laser cutting service that our customers can rely on every time.
This included investing in an Ellesco Timesavers 22-900-W, a versatile deburring machine that enables us to provide the perfect finish for your projects. Plus, we improved our laser cutting services ability further with a state-of-the-art Bystronic ByStar Fiber 12kW laser . Boosted by 12 kilowatts of laser power, each cut is faster, cleaner and more cost-effective than ever before, with cutting speeds of up 20% faster than its 10kW predecessor.
This new investment in super-fast laser cutting machinery has as enabled us to excel in accuracy, consistency, and efficiency – three key considerations when it comes to a reliable high-volume laser cutting process.
A look at our year in numbers
In 2020, 2,568 tons of metal was delivered, cut, and shipped to our customers … that’s a weekly average of 49 tons!
This included:
- Mild 1,890 tons
- Stainless Steel 247 tons
- CR4 188 tons
- Galv 148 tons
- Aluminium 61 tons
- Zintec 34 tons

49,124 different parts were drawn and programmed for our customers, which saw 16,401 cutting plans sent to our high-tech lasers.
In 2020, Laser 24 cut a staggering 1,484,145 parts that were packed and despatched to our customers. In our fleet of vans, we travelled 58,299 miles (that’s twice around the world)
